How to audit Amazon affiliate links across recent YouTube videos
Create a bounded, point-in-time report that names the recent videos and Amazon destinations examined while keeping Appeared healthy, Needs attention, and Could not verify separate.

Run the check: Start with the channel you own or manage.
LinkRivet examines up to 100 recent public videos and 100 unique Amazon destinations. Repeated links are checked once. It never requests your YouTube password or edits the channel.
Read the check record: The report records scope before conclusions.
The useful artifact is not a single broken-link count. It is a check record showing what was examined, what was observed, and what remains uncertain.

Evidence boundary: This workflow records point-in-time URL and product observations. It does not prove tracking-ID ownership, Associates eligibility, commission credit, future availability, or endorsement by Google or YouTube.
Confirm the channel and the audit boundary
Know which catalog LinkRivet can inspect before treating the result as complete.
Use a channel ID, @handle, or channel URL for a channel you own or manage. The audit reads bounded public channel and video metadata; it does not connect to your Google Account.
The current acquisition audit covers up to 100 recent public videos. Older videos outside that window are not silently represented as checked.
- Confirm that the channel is yours or that you are authorized to manage it.
- Use the canonical channel URL or @handle when possible.
- Treat the report as a recent-catalog snapshot, not an exhaustive lifetime archive.
Read the report as evidence, not a score
Start with actual scope, then move from state totals into individual check records.
Review the number of videos retrieved, unique Amazon destinations found, and affected videos before opening any individual finding. Repeated links are checked once but remain mapped back to every placement.
Keep “Could not verify” separate. A blocked, stale, or ambiguous observation is missing evidence—not proof that the link belongs in Appeared healthy or Needs attention.
- Check the report timestamp and methodology version.
- Open Needs attention check records before changing a published URL.
- Use the affected-video mapping to find each public placement.
Edit the affected description in YouTube Studio
Make a deliberate placement-level change after confirming the intended product and link.
In YouTube Studio, open Content, select the affected video, change the description in Details, and save. LinkRivet does not perform this edit for you.
Preserve the creator’s required disclosures and clear Amazon destination wording. Do not replace an ambiguous finding until you have confirmed the intended product and Amazon country site.
- Copy the original description or URL before editing.
- Replace only the intended link and keep nearby disclosure language intact.
- Open the public watch page after saving to confirm the rendered placement.
Recheck the repaired link
A saved description is not yet evidence that the new destination behaves as intended.
Inspect the replacement destination URL after redirects. Confirm the Amazon country site, Amazon product ID (ASIN), and visible tracking-ID text match what you intended to publish.
Save the point-in-time result or add the link to recurring monitoring when the destination matters beyond this one edit.
- Confirm the destination Amazon country site and product identity.
- Compare the visible tag with the tracking ID you expected.
- Record uncertainty instead of marking a blocked observation as fixed.
YouTube Studio is named only to identify the workflow. LinkRivet is independent of Google or YouTube and does not imply their sponsorship, certification, or endorsement.
Keep the check record after the tab closes.
Bring important links into LinkRivet, retain the evidence behind each change, and enable recurring monitoring when a one-time check is not enough.
